a streetcar named desire

A radical, raw nerve production of Tennesse Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, filtere through the lens of reality TV, economic anxiety, and contemporary masculinity at war with itself. Stripped down to 90 minutes in length, four actor are trapped in a purgatory of bridling tension, an apartment that becomes a boxing ring, a war between an unstoppable force and an immovabl object, shaking the dust of an affected idea of what abuse, sexuality, and connection look like in a contemporary context. This production smashes antiquated notions and returns to the vitality and electricity that is inherent in the text bringing a Gen Z anxiety, humour, and sensibility to an American classic.
